Erect clump
12-24 inches tall and 12 inches wide.
Cream-colored flowers, ½-¾ inches wide, are clustered on a spike on the upper half of a narrowly winged stem. Individual flowers are darker in the middle with purplish stripes on the back of the flowers.
Early summer
Gray green, iris-like leaves are 18 inches long and ¾-1 inch wide. The foliage is similar to iris and can be misidentified if the plant is not in flower.
