Straggly compared to other yews.
3 to 6 fee tall by 6 to 8 feet wide. Slow growth rate.
 
 
Densely set, in 2 ranks, 1/2 to 3/4” long, 1/16 to 1/12” wide. Glossy, dark green.
Reddish tint in the winter.
 
 
Red
Perhaps the key problem of members of the genus, Taxus is that they do not tolerate wet, poorly drained soils.
 
  • 'Stricta' ('Pyramidalis') - Branches are stiffly upright.
