40 to 60 feet high by 30 feet wide.
Yellowish flowers born on 2 to 4 inch long cymes. The floral bract is narrowly lance shaped and about 2 to 3 inches long.

Alternate, simple, roundish ovate, 2 to 4” long and as wide. Lustrous, dark green.
Ovoid shaped fruit are covered with pale brown wool.
‘Laurelhurst’ - Vigorous with straight, strong trunk; even, compact, broadly pyramidal crown; glossy dark green leaves.
