Triticum dicoccum Emmer Wheat Mediterranean   Annual grass that thrives in dry soil.   Has a flattened, fragile head with bristles or awns and a grain that is not easily separated from the chaff.       There are 8 different types of wheat including einkorn, Polish wheat, emmer, spelt, common wheat, club wheat, durum and poulard.
