Upright, often leggy, shrub.
8 to 12 feet tall
White borne on 5-rayed, flat-topped cymes that are 1 to 2 inches in diameter. Not exceptionally showy.
Opposite, simple, ovateoblong. 3to 6” long, 11/4 to2 1/2” wide. Soft, blue-green foliage.
Reddish purple at times.
Bright red drupe.
