Large shrub or small tree.
15 to 20 feet tall with a spread of 10 to 15 feet.
Cream to white borne on flat-topped cymes 3 to 6 inches wide. Usually sets a large number of flowers.
 
Opposite, simple, elliptic or obovate to oblong, 2 to 5” long, 1 1/2 to 3” wide. Leaves have a bad odor when crushed.
Red to purple but not showy.
 
 
Rose-red to red drupe that changes to black.
