An article in The Hosta Journal (1994 Vol. 25 No. 2) states that this cultivar was observed in the garden of Dr Fritz Köhlein in Germany. On the Hosta Lists website, it is listed has having white flowers.

According to the Fransen Hostas website, this cultivar is mistakenly labeled as H. 'Adrian Köhlein'. I would assume that this is after a relative of Dr. Köhlein.
