Hosta 'Alcebana Kukurin'
 

This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. 'Alcebana Kukurin' is a miniature size hosta about 4 or 5 inches tall with medium green foliage that has a thin white marginal variegation. It bears lavender flowers with darker stripes from August into September.

This hosta from Japan has been found listed under several variations to this name including H. Alcebana Fukurin', H. 'Alcebana Kikurin', H. 'Alcebana Kikurin' and H. 'Kifukurin Alcebana'. It seems that all have green leaves with a white marginal variegation but may differ in other traits.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kifukurin or ki fukurin as yellow edge(d) or yellow margin(ed) and the term fukurin as margined or edged.
