'American Choice'
 

Registered by Van Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio in 2007, this cultivar is considered a stable form i.e. tissue culture sport, of the streaked hosta 'Breeder's Choice'. A large size (20 inches high by 58 inches wide) plant, it has medium green leaves with a white marginal variegation.

The foliage is lightly cupped, slightly corrugated, ovate and dull on top but very shiny on the bottom. Its lavender flowers are "pinkish" in bud and have darker striping. They bloom from June into July on scapes up to 42 inches tall.
