Hosta 'American Louigi'

This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. Originated by Van Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery of Ohio, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Bigga Luigi'. It forms a mound of heavily corrugated, slightly cupped foliage that can be somewhat unruly blue-green foliage. The leaves have whitish streaked variegation toward the center. This is a very large size plant which grows to over 2 feet tall and spreads up to 7 feet in diameter. Its near white flowers bloom from late June into July.
