Hosta 'Barbara Elizabeth Hoover'

Registered by Clarence Owens of Michigan in 2002, this cultivar is a sport of H. 'Sally and Bob'. It forms a large size (23 inches high) mound with lavender flowers in July. The leaves are ovate shaped, slightly corrugated and have above average substance.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Most specimens of 'Sally and Bob' will likely stabilized to this cultivar over time."

Barb Hoover was a noted, eclectic gardener in Hanover, Michigan near where Clarence Owens lives in Jackson, Michigan.
