Hosta 'Blue Edger'

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar is "...credited to Beth Chatto and Ann & Roger Bowden of England..." It grows into a medium sized (14 inches high) mound with leaves that are slightly corrugated, wavy and have thick substance.

Similar cultivars include H. Blue Dimples'.

In the garden of Dr. Jim Wilkins near Jackson, Michigan we came across this imaginative way of displaying two hostas to appear to create a new one. Individual divisions of H. 'Blue Edger' and H. 'Gold Drop' were interplanted to create this "designer hosta" arrangement.
