Hosta 'Boy Wonder'

Registered by Dave Bowe of Ohio in 2022, this fast growing cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of (H. 'One Man's Treasure' × H. 'Stardust'). It is a small size hosta about 6 inches high by 9 inches wide with "apple green" foliage that has a yellow marginal variegation. The leaves are slightly folded and wavy with red speckled petioles.

During July, it bears pale purple flowers with purple stripes inside and white at the base. The viability of the seeds was not known at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "Apple green leaf with yellow margins and red petioles bring to mind the colors of Robin the Boy Wonder's uniform...emerges apple green with yellow margins changing to yellow with white margins ..."
