Mark Zilis originated
this slow growing tetraploid sport of H. 'Halcyon' and registered it in 2009. It forms a
medium-size (18 inches high by 30 inches wide) mound of
blue-green foliage with very thick substance. The leaves are flat, broadly
ovate, moderately corrugated, slightly wavy and glaucous on top. Pale lavender,
tubular flowers bloom from July into August. The plant changes to dark green as
the season progresses.
