Hosta 'Burnished Brass'

This cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by Chet Tompkins of Oregon and registered on his behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. It is a medium size hosta about 13 inches high by 36 inches wide with gold colored foliage. The leaves are slightly wavy, slightly shiny on the bottom and have a long, thin, curled tip. Its flowers bloom from late June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...this cultivar came out of the breeding line that included 'Cynthia', 'Pioneer', and other cultivars."
