Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina registered this hybrid of H. 'Halcyon' × H. 'Riptide' in 2000. It forms a medium size (16 inches high) mound that changes from deep blue to green as the season progresses. The plant has thick leaf substance and bears very pale purple flowers in August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Bob Solberg combined the best of both parents in creating this beautiful blue cultivar."
