Hosta 'Dancing Queen'
 

 

A seedling of H. 'Split Personality', this cultivar was registered by Kent Terpening of New York in 2005. It will form a large size (18 inches high by 30 inches wide) mound of neatly rippled foliage with pale lavender flowers from mid-July to mid-August.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "The bright color of the leaves fades to pale yellow at the end of the summer...Allow plenty of space so that the superb shape, color, and texture of the leaves are not hidden by other plants."

The picture below was taken on May 4 while the one above was shot later in the summer.

As mentioned by Diana Grefell (2009), this is probably a photo of this cultivar later in the season when it has turned more green in color. Or one that has totally reverted to the all-green form.
