Hosta 'Dark Secret'

This hybrid of H. 'Mona Lisa' × an unidentified hosta, was registered by Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio in 2009. The mound grows into a giant size hosta about 30 inches in height and a spread of 40 inches. Its foliage is twisted, highly corrugated and nearly round with a cordate base. The leaves have thick substance and are dull on top and bottom. Tubular flowers bloom from June into mid-July.

This cultivar was originally called H. 'Mona Lisa's Child' before being registered under this name.
