Hosta 'Dress Blues'

Registered by Wm Zumbar   of Ohio in 1995, this cultivar is a cross between an H. 'Breeder's Choice' seedling x H. 'Halcyon'. The large size (24 inches high by 36 inches wide) mound is semi-upright in form with leaf margins that change from yellow to creamy white as the season progresses. Lavender flowers appear in August followed by viable seeds.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Increases rapidly but can revert to blue-green if not regularly divided."
