Hosta 'Eos'

This is one of those cases where there are two hostas with the same name. Neither is registered with The American Hosta Society. The first one to be registered would become the "official" hosta of that name and the other would have to be renamed.

In Greek mythology, Eos was the goddess of the dawn of the day.

This medium size hosta with H. kikutii in its background was originated by Dr. Ullrich Fischer of Germany. It has green foliage that is heart shaped and has ruffled margins. This version has lavender flowers.

Alex Malloy of New York originated this cultivar which is medium size plant with chartreuse colored foliage that has a white marginal variegation. Similar cultivars include H. 'Moonlight'.
