Hosta 'Eye of the Tiger'

Registered by Gerry & Jean Meyer of Turkey Run Hostas in Minnesota in 2018, this upright growing cultivar is a sport of H. 'Lakeside Paisley Print'. It is a large size plant that grows to around 20 inches high by 30 inches wide with broadly ovate, dark green foliage with a narrow white medial (center) variegation.

The leaves are slightly cupped, slightly rippled and slightly shiny on top and bottom.  Pale lavender flowers bloom from July into August on scapes 30 to 32 inches tall. It sets seeds but their viability was not known as the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...Center variegation is eye-shaped and narrower than its parent..."
