This cultivar was listed on the Hosta Lists website. Originated by Marco and Joyce Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Midnight at the Oasis'. Its foliage is green with a creamy white streaked/misted variegation that changes to green later in the season. The large size mound grows to about 21 inches in height and 50 inches wide with leaves of thick substance. Its lavender flowers bloom from late July into August.

A Fata Morgana, or superior mirage, is an optical phenomenon caused by light passing through a region where two layers of air at different temperatures meet.
