Hosta 'Final Summation'

A sport of H. 'Sum and Substance', this cultivar was registered by Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in 2008. This is a giant size (30 inches high by 60 inches wide) plant with pale lavender flowers in August. The foliage has a medium gold center with a dark green marginal variegation. It is broadly ovate, cupped (up or down) and has thick substance. From late July into August, it produces large pale lavender flowers on four foot tall scapes.

From the Field Guide to Hostas by Mark Zilis (2014), "I was so excited when I heard about this plant that I stopped the printing of The Hostapedia at that last minute to add its description."
