Hosta 'Focal Point'
 

 

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2019, this cultivar is a seedling of {H. laevigata ×  [H. 'Liberty Bell' × (H. 'Urajiro Hachijo' × H. pycnophylla)) ×  H. 'Ebony Spires'] × H. 'Astral Bliss'} × H. 'Fire Island'. It is a miniature size plant about 6 inches high by 15 inches wide with yellow foliage. The lanceolate leaves are moderately rippled at the margins, slightly shiny on top, slightly cupped and slightly wavy.

\Pale lavender flowers with medium lavender stripes bloom from August into September on scapes 7 to 8 inches tall. It sets seed but their viability was not known at the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "...True miniature with bright upright flared foliage. Bloom is in proportion to the clump size."
