Hosta 'Frensham Royal Connection'

Registered by June Colley and John Baker of England in 2020, this cultivar is a very large size (28 inches high by 32 inches wide) sport of H. 'Ming Jade'. It is an upright growing hosta with light greenish blue-green foliage that has a cream to chartreuse colored marginal variegation.

The broadly ovate leaves are moderately corrugated and have a glaucous bloom on top. Near white flowers with the occasional tinge of purple bloom from late June into July on scapes up to 40 inches tall. It does not set seeds.

The registration materials state: "...Large shiny corrugated leaves with variable cream to chartruese margins provide a nice background for the nearly white flowers...glaucous bloom early leaving a nice sheen later in the season."
