Hosta 'Fruit Punch'

This hybrid of H. 'Urajiro Hachijo' × H. 'Crested Surf' was registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 1999. It forms a medium size plant that has bright gold leaves in the spring that changes to chartreuse color later in the season. The plant grows to about 17 inches in height with a spread of 49 inches.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term urajiro as white-backed or white underside.
