Hosta 'Fuiri Oba'

This non-registered hosta is a sport of H. montana found in Japan. It is a large size plant with green foliage that has a white marginal variegation. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term fuiri as variegated and the term oba or ooba as large leaf, 'Oba Gibōshi' or H. montana.
