Hosta 'Glacial Lake'

This huge plant is the result of a cross of H. 'Sagae' × H. 'Elegans' which was registered by Dr. Charles Purtymun and Jay Hyslop of Walden West Nursery of Oregon in 1999. A mature plant should grow into a giant size hosta about 28 inches in height and spread out to 4 feet in diameter. The leaves are rippled, cupped and have good substance. Its lavender flowers bloom in late July on scapes around 3 feet tall.
