This cultivar is the result of the cross between an unnamed seedling x H. 'Rhapsody in Blue' that was registered by Dr Jim and Sandy Wilkins of Michigan in 2003. It forms an upright mound about 14 inches tall with a spread of 32 inches. In late July, it bears pale lavender flowers.
