This hybrid of H. 'Green Wedge'
and H. 'Chartreuse Wedge' was registered in 1978 by
Paul Aden. It
forms a giant sized (30 inches high) mound of foliage that is
blue-green when it emerges in the spring but quickly loses the
waxy bloom and become green by early summer. It bears near white
flowers that bloom in late June into July.
According to
The Hosta Handbook by
Mark Zilis (2000), this cultivar "...acts like a green 'Sum
and Substance'."
Similar cultivars include H. 'Elatior',
H. 'Gosan Sunproof', H. 'Green Gables' and H. 'Green Wedge'.
Seedlings include H. 'Little
Sheen'.
