Hosta 'Honey Bear'
 

 

Registered by Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in 2016, this fast growing, large size (18 inches high by 40 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Honey Pie'. It has dark green foliage with a golden yellow marginal variegation. The leaves are slightly rippled, slightly wavy, moderately corrugated, broadly ovate and slightly shiny on top. Tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

The registration materials state: "Dark green centered, yellow margined large hosta with fragrant flowers, puckered leaves and rapid growth rate."
