Hosta 'Iced Lemon'

Originated by Hamish Batten of England and registered on his behalf  by Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio in 2005, this cultivar is a sport of H. 'Lemon Delight'.

It is a miniature size hosta about 41/2 inches high by 11 inches wide with light green foliage. The lanceolate leaves are slightly twisted and slightly rippled. Medium lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August on scapes about 15 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "...small sized clump, pointed lance leaf."

The Book of Little Hostas by Kathy and Michael Shadrack (2010) says: "Ideal as an edging plant and in raised beds."

According to the MyHosta Database website, this cultivar was "Found by Hamis Batten in a plant of 'Lemon Lime' he got from Bowdens'."
