Hosta 'Imperial Palace'

This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Pin Stripe Sister' which was registered by  Dr. Dick and Jane Ward of Ohio in 2009. The large size (23 inches high by 53 inches wide) mound has medium to dark green foliage with a yellow to cream colored medial (center) variegation. Its leaves are slightly wavy, ovate and slightly corrugated. Very pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-June into July.

Oops! Although this plant was nicely labeled as H. 'Imperial Palace', it certainly does NOT fit the description of that cultivar. Watch out for mislabeled plants!
