Hosta 'Jabberwocky'

Originated by Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio and registered by Robert Hatt of Massachusetts in 2022, this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Outrageous' × (H. 'Venetian Blue' × H. 'Salute'). This upright hosta grows into a medium size plant about 16 inches high by 30 inches wide. The foliage is multiple shades of green to light greenish blue-green with multiple shades of yellow-cream-white marginal variegation. Its leaves are lanceolate, heavily rippled, very wavy and tapered at the base. It had not flowered by the time of registration.

The registration materials state: "Very striking vase-shaped specimen with long lance-shaped very wavy leaves on long petioles.  Centers are many shades of green to blue with highly variable margins of cream and yellow.  The leaves bounce majestically up and down with the slightest breeze."
