Handy Hatfield of Ohio originated this sport of H. 'Christmas Gold' which was later registered on his behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. It forms a medium to large size mound of intensely blue-green foliage that has a creamy yellow margin. The leaves are with moderately corrugated, unruly, slightly cupped, broadly ovate and have a glaucous bloom on top. The lavender flowers bloom from late June into July and set viable seeds in purplish seed pods.
