						 This non-registered cultivar is a
				seedling selection from
Lucille Simpers of Indiana. This huge, somewhat
upright plant grows into a giant size hosta about 35 inches in height with a spread of over
73 inches. The leaves have a deeply lobed base and are slightly
corrugated, cupped upward and unruly. In late June, it begins to
				bear very pale lavender flowers.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "For years a mature clump of this
				cultivar grew in the
Wade & Gatton collection, albeit as
				'Karen'. After

Bob Olson registered another plant as 'Karen',
				Van
Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio renamed Lucy Simper's plant 'Karen Deborah'."
