Hosta 'Lady in Waiting'

The result of a cross between H. 'Tokudama' × H. 'Elegans', this cultivar was registered by Anne Arett of Minnesota in 1980. It grows into a large size hosta about 24 inches high by 52 inches wide. The blue-green foliage is broadly ovate with good substance. It bears near white flowers in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Though 'Lady in Waiting' has outstanding blue-green foliage, its greatest claim to fame is being the mother plant of 'Alvatine Taylor'."
