Hosta 'Lake Erie'

A self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Perry's True Blue', this cultivar was registered by Peter Ruh of Ohio in 1998. It is a giant size plant that grows to about 28 inches in height with a spread of 68 inches. The medium green foliage has deep veins and are wavy with slight variegation. It bears near white flowers in June.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...does not display pure H. 'Sieboldiana' traits. Instead, it acts more like a hybrid of H. montana x H. 'Sieboldiana'."
