This plant is a hybrid of two
seedlings that is part of the
Lakeside Series of hostas
originated and registered in 1999 by
Mary Chastain.
The 15 inch high mound spreads to a width of 40 inches with
smooth textured foliage of average substance. Medium lavender
flowers bloom in July.
According to
The Hosta Handbook by
Mark Zilis (2000), "...another of Mary
Chastain's breeding plants and it's evident from its heavily
variegated foliage that it can produce variegated seedlings."
