Hosta 'Lakeside Mom'

This plant is a hybrid of two seedlings that is part of the Lakeside Series of hostas originated and registered in 1999 by Mary Chastain. The 15 inch high mound spreads to a width of 40 inches with smooth textured foliage of average substance. Medium lavender flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hosta Handbook by Mark Zilis (2000), "...another of Mary Chastain's breeding plants and it's evident from its heavily variegated foliage that it can produce variegated seedlings."

Similar cultivars include H. 'Fascination'.

Sports include H. 'Lakeside Alex Andra'.
