Hosta 'Lenape'

This cultivar, a self-pollinated seedling of H. 'Elatior', is part of Van Wade's American Indian Series of hostas. It was registered by Van in 2007. The large size mound is about 26 inches high and spreads to 65 inches wide with foliage that is slightly corrugated along the veins and is slightly wavy. Pale lavender flowers bloom in mid-July.

According to a Google search, "The Leni Lenape or Lenape or the Delaware people (or nation) in older references, are a Native American tribe and, in Canada, a recognized First Nations band government."
