Hosta 'Light of Day'
 

Registered by Don Dean of Minnesota in 2016, this small size (10 inches high by 27 inches wide) cultivar is technically of unidentified parentage. It is a sport of an unnamed seedling of H. 'Little Wonder' x H. 'Whimsey'. The leaves are slightly blue-green with a medium green intermediate color and a greenish yellow medial (center) variegation. Its foliage is broadly ovate, slightly wavy, corrugated and dull on top. Pale purple, bell shape flowers with a slightly darker mid-rib bloom from June into July on scapes up to 25 inches tall.

The registration materials state: "Tricolor with yellow center, narrow med-green intermediate color & slightly blue-green edges feather into the center. Petiole & scape match center color & pods have pink blush...dark green margin with creamy-white center late..."
