Hosta 'Mingo'

This seedling selection of unidentified parentage was registered by Van Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio in 2007 as part of his American Indian Series of hostas. It forms a large size mound 22 inches high by 64 inches wide with ovate, slightly wavy, moderately corrugated foliage. Very pale lavender flowers bloom in large numbers from June into July. It sets viable seeds.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This cultivar honors an Indian tribe native to Ohio..."
