						  This
						form of
						H. 'Sieboldiana'
						 came from
				Japan and was registered by
The American Hosta Society on behalf of the originator,
				Dr. Fumio Maekawa in 2002
						and
						re-registered
						with new data in
2018. As with others of this type, it forms a
						large size (20
inches high by 45 inches wide) upright mound with leaves that are
slightly cupped, slightly folded, slightly corrugated and
slightly shiny on top.. Near white flowers bloom from
June into July on scapes 14 inches tall followed by
						viable seeds.
The registration materials state: "...makes a fine
specimen; can get very large...W. George Schmid, in

						The
Genus Hosta, Timber Press, 1991, reduced this hosta from
a species to Cultivar status. The registration
						information was supplied by
						P. Ruh and is gratefully
acknowledged by the Registrar..." According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...comes closest of all
				H. 'Sieboldiana' forms to the species itself."
