Hosta 'Miss Linda Smith'

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Arthur Wrede considers this his best introduction and that is saying a lot. He has led the charge among hosta hybridizers in the development  of purple and red-petioled cultivars...other Arthur Wrede originations with richly colored petioles include 'Almost', 'Designer Genes', 'Miss Grace', 'Miss Ruby', 'Miss Susie', 'Mr Blue', 'Smokey', and 'The Perfect Storm'."

H. 'Miss Linda Smith' is a cultivar of unidentified parentage that was registered in 2006. The medium size mound has slightly wavy, ovate shaped leaves with average substance. It has deep purple petioles and light purple flowers in late July.
