Hosta 'Moongate Little Dipper'

Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina registered this hybrid of H. 'Serendipity' × H. 'Blue Blazes' in 1996. The medium size mound grows to about 16 inches in height with a spread of 40 inches. Its foliage is shiny, cupped, moderately corrugated and has thick substance. The pale purple flowers open in whorls in July.

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Place it where its distinctively cupped leaves contrast with linear-leaved hostas. Small, deeply cupped green leaves."
