Hosta 'Okaydokey'
 

 

A sport of H. 'Aoki', this cultivar was originated by Walters Gardens, Inc. of Michigan and registered on their behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) on their behalf in 2009. It is a large size hosta about 22 inches high by 58 inches wide. The leaves have a gold center with a dark green marginal variegation. They are slightly wavy, ovate, slightly corrugated and have good substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from mid-July into August.

According to The American Hosta Society registration form the original sport of this plant was given to Dr. Jim Wilkins of Michigan by Walters Gardens, Inc. Mark Zilis (2009) says that this plant is "...from Ralph (Herb) Benedict..."
