Hosta 'Owens Outrage'

Originated by Jeff Moore of Wisconsin, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It is a medium size hosta with flat, yellow to chartreuse colored foliage that is held in an upright manner. This shows off the bright, dark red petioles that have the red color extending up into the leaf blade. It bears lavender colored flowers.

An article titled Standout Hostas of 2020 by Josh Spece of In The Country Garden & Gifts in Iowa in The Online Hosta Journal (Vol. 51 Online 2020) states that, "Jeff Moore has been a dedicated hybridizer for years, and it is great to see some of his creations making their way to more gardens. Hosta ‘Owen’s Outrage’ may be his most popular introduction, yet, and it's easy to see why! Smooth, clear yellow leaves are held on The some of the most saturated, brightest red petioles I've seen. I can’t wait to see this one pop up again next spring!"
