Hosta 'Paradise Power'

Marco Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands developed this non-registered but patented sport of H. 'Sun Power'. It forms a large size plant with slightly wavy, slightly corrugated leaves. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...the first of the "Paradise" series to be introduced for sale in the U.S."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Moderately fast growth rate."

United States Patent: PP12117

Abstract: A distinct cultivar of Hosta plant named `Paradise Power`, characterized by its golden yellow leaf color; relatively compact plant habit; and lavender-colored flowers that are positioned above the foliage on strong and erect scapes.
