Hosta 'Pete's Impression'

Piet de Rooij of the Netherlands registered this hybrid of a streaked form of H. 'Gray Cole' × H. 'Kifukurin Ubatake' in 2013. It has intensely blue-green leaves with creamy white streaked variegation. The foliage is lance shaped, moderately flat and glaucous on top. Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from July into August. It sets viable seeds.

Mikiko Lockwood in an article on The Hosta Library titled, A Little About Japanese Hosta Terms defines the term kifukurin or ki fukurin as yellow edge(d) or yellow margin(ed) and the term fukurin as margined or edged.
