Hosta 'Pollyanna'

Oops! Sure looks as if this big hosta is labeled as H. 'Pollyana'. Unfortunately, the actual 'Pollyana' is a 13 inch high mound with Hosta 'Lancifolia' type foliage. We will try to get a true picture next summer. - Mr PGC

A 1983 registration by Pauline Banyai of Michigan, this cultivar grows into a medium size about 13 inches in height by 24 inches wide. The leaves are slightly wavy and have thin substance. Medium purple flowers bloom from mid-August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...parentage not clear, Hosta lancifolia one possible parent..."
